It is on the occasion of the 65th edition of the 2019 Quebec Winter Carnival that this interactive miniature Quebec lets us discover how Bonhomme sees the world!
Inspired by the Shadow Play installation, which brings together sound, lights, shadow puppetry, and micro-mapping to tell a story, we created a model of Quebec City that serves as the canvas for the narrative on the occasion of the 2019 Quebec Winter Carnival. This new 6-minute version lets us discover how Bonhomme, the mythical Carnival mascot, sees the world… "Show us how Bonhomme sees the city and life; what does he see in his soup?". Our scenario therefore had to illustrate the birth of Bonhomme but also convey his most ardent wish to gather citizens in an exuberant celebration of joy and snow… all in an enchanting environment at -10 degrees. Total immersion is guaranteed thanks to the addition of a 540 LED bulb light fixture inside this giant dome, synchronized with the video, thus plunging visitors straight into Bonhomme's mind. Bonhomme's Dream was a finalist in the "Best Mapping" category at the Numix awards!!!
