Full Dome films are audiovisual productions designed specifically to be projected onto the entire interior of a dome, such as those in planetariums or 360-degree immersive theaters. Unlike a traditional film projected on a flat screen, a Full Dome film completely envelops the viewer. The image covers the entire vault of the dome, creating an immersive experience where the audience looks in all directions. The films are generally produced in the form of a 180° circular image called a fisheye, then projected using one or more synchronized projectors.
